So this past Friday, despite literally every economic expert and sensible person saying it was a bad idea, the UK voted in a referendum to leave the EU. It was a shocking, terrifying wake up call to those of us who thought that ignorance and fear would never triumph over logic. I can’t imagine the feelings of millennial britons (who were outvoted by people with few years to feel consequences for their actions) right now, so just know that our little yankee hearts feel for you <3 <3 <3. Hopefully Brexit will help American voters wake up and realize that we can’t let the same thing happen to us. #nevertrump
That being said, the Pound is currently at its lowest exchange rate since the eighties. It crashed 10% in the immediate economic fallout of Brexit, and this opens up a fantastic opportunity for American shoppers to buy UK goods at a discount. It’s unlikely we’ll get a better deal on the exchange rate than this! So without further adieu, here’s the lingerie and swimwear that I can’t resist a 10% discount on!
The Cygnus bodysuit has been on my wish list ever since Karolina’s Celestial Bodies collection dropped. It has amazing lingerie as outerwear potential, and would be absolutely perfect under a pair of high-waisted jeans (or a skater skirt). I’m drooling thinking of all the outfit possibilities this baby brings! Karolina Laskowska is one of my all time favorite luxury designers, and I’ve been incredibly impressed with the quality of her work. This is an amazing opportunity to score a 10% discount on an ethically made, beautiful crafted piece of lingerie.
Coco de Mer
Edge O’ Beyond Esme Collection
I’ve wanted the Esme set by Edge O’ Beyond since it was released, so I was thrilled to see it in Coco de Mer’s summer sale. Sizes are going quickly, so I’d rush this one into your cart if you’re set on it 🙂 Leather is impossible to resist, and the price on this is insanely low at the moment, especially with the extra 10% exchange rate discount!
Coco de Mer
Lonely Cyd Bra and Brief
Lonely lingerie is a New Zealand label that I’ve always wanted to try. I’m not really in their size range, but I’m tempted by the Cyd bra anyways! The poppy red is stunningly summery, and I adore the partial halter neck. All hail the cleavage triangle ya’ll. This set is an amazing deal in the Coco de Mer sale. Actually, the whole sale is pretty kick-ass, so go buy things before they become depressingly expensive again!
Freya Atlantis Bikini
The Freya Atlantis has been at the top of my swimwear wish-list since it was released this season. I adore the distorted, oceanic floral print and sporty styling. The original price was a bit dear for me (since I hate 90% of bikinis once they’re on my body) but with Belle Lingerie’s discount and a more favorable exchange rate, I couldn’t resist trying the triangle top in 30DD. Here’s to hoping this is the bikini that wins my quest! 🙂 For the fuller busted, the Atlantis line also include an underwired, padded half cup with a larger size range.
Freya Paradise Island Bikini
So after my review of Miss Mandalay bikini, I was advised by many lovely ladies to try Freya’s padded halter bikinis. The Paradise Island is a steal of a deal on Belle Lingerie, so I couldn’t resist following their advice. Here’s to hoping it solves all my bikini woes! I love that the bottoms have adjustable sides, because they’ll have a more flexible (and hopefully less covered) fit. The print is a little busy for me, but it’s in nice colors and I’m hoping it will set off a tan!
I have a permanent love affair with green lingerie and seashells, so Esty Lingerie’s Amathia collection is right up my alley. I love the strappy details combined with the floral lace. I think the strappy thong, bralette, and harness might need to hop into my closet this summer! Although I’m also hugely tempted by the matching tap pants… decisions are hard! All of Esty Lingerie’s Amathia collection is handmade by owner and #girlboss Estelle, so you can support a female entrepreneur while treating yourself! 🙂 Win/win!
